Lauren & Mesh
Pennsylvania Castle Wedding Photographer
Dec 11th 2021
I have to confess this wedding had my butterflies going a little! Lauren and I have been friends for ten years now and have often talked about her wedding day.
It's not like I haven't shot friends weddings before, and they have all been great, but this one had to be perfect. Lauren has often showered me in praise for my photos and I wanted this to be everything she wanted. It's not even like I am not used to turning up to venues that I have never been to before, as that's all part of the job and my research was done in advance, as always.
On the wedding day itself, Mother Nature threw me some interesting curveballs with thick dark clouds, rolling mist and torrential rain, so not quite according to plan. That said, it made the castle look quite mysterious and eery and suited the winter setting.
Then, as the ceremony was finishing, the sun began to set and darkness enveloped the castle. These conditions always make you think on your feet and quite often it's when something magical happens. A miracle did happen though...the rain stopped and I rushed to get the confetti shot, the couple shots and the group shots done in record time.
As it turned out, I love the photo's but even better than that, so do Lauren and her husband, Mesh. I hope you agree.
